FAIR, the
national media watch group, has been offering well-documented criticism
of media bias and censorship since 1986. We work to invigorate
the First Amendment by advocating for greater diversity in the
press and by scrutinizing media practices that marginalize public
interest, minority and dissenting viewpoints. As an anti-censorship
organization, we expose neglected news stories and defend working
journalists when they are muzzled. As a progressive group, FAIR
believes that structural reform is ultimately needed to break up
the dominant media conglomerates, establish independent public
broadcasting and promote strong non-profit sources of information...]

[Peace
Brigades International (PBI) is a non-governmental organization
(NGO) which protects human rights and promotes nonviolent transformation
of conflicts. When invited, we send teams of volunteers into areas
of political repression and conflict. The volunteers accompany human
rights defenders, their organizations, and others threatened by political
violence. Those responsible for human rights abuses usually do not
want the world to witness their actions. The presence of volunteers
backed by an emergency response network thus helps deter violence.
In this way, we create space for local activists to work for social
justice and human rights....]

Can Average Citizens Participate in the War on Terrorism?; by David Corn
Congress is going about business as usual -- passing tax cuts for the
wealthy -- and Bush is calling on patriotic Americans to do the same
-- by shopping at the mall and watching TV news. Whither heroism in the

That Hype: September
11th, 2001 a senseless act of violence occurred against thousands of
innocent people in both New York and Washington DC. Now world leaders
wish to retaliate with more countless acts of violence against humanity.
These criminal attacks have already begun. World leaders searching
for direction turn to the easiest answer... war. War is the greatest
crime against humanity. Its only purpose is to settle a dispute between
feuding leaders by sacrificing thousands of innocent youth from both
sides. These leaders are willing to slaughter the lives of the young,
while they reside in safety....]

Fire; Book: U.S. Military Drafted Plans to Terrorize U.S. Cities
to Provoke War With Cuba; By David Ruppe; [ABCNEWS.com]
N
E W Y O R K, May 1 In the early 1960s, America's top military
leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and
commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support
for a war against Cuba.
Code
named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the
possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking
boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing
up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S.
cities.
The
plans were developed as ways to trick the American public and
the international community into supporting a war to oust Cuba's
then new leader, communist Fidel Castro....]

Universal Message" based on the wisdom of the Tarot.
If you would like to read it, visit my website:
["We
surround ourselves with walls built from the blocks of our anger,
fear,
ignorance and insecurity. Our intention is to protect ourselves. In reality,
these
carefully constructed walls become the obstacles that hold us back and
prevent
us from growing, being purposeful and reaching our true potential....]

for Peace Statement on the Terrorist Attack:
The horror of September 11, 2001 will live in our hearts and minds forever.
We extend our gratitude to all the courageous people involved
in the rescue operations in New York and Washington, and our
deepest sympathy to those who have lost loved ones.
We
abhor this violent act, but fervently believe that retaliation,
hatred and vengeance will not relieve the hearts of grief. A
calm resolve and clear thinking must prevail. But after the mourning,
we MUST also ask Why? .....
